Excellent search results for Telnames

1st example for a local search:

www.trixie.tel is doing famously well ;-) however to be fair, www.boracayHotels.tel is doing rather poorly for "boracay hotels". Both were setup in the very early days of telnames.

According to results of Keyword tool, number of people who looks monthly for hostess boracay and boracay hotels (exact searches):

hostess boracay -- 0 (i.e. nobody)
boracay hotels -- 12,100

Obviously, that good and bad results here depend of competition of these two combination of words.

I like www.trixie.tel. It looks like a real person with a valuable offer for tourists while www.boracayHotels.tel looks a little bit like a parked website. Google made the right decision to prefer www.trixie.tel.

This is clearly the aspect of a domainer. If your intention is to make money with domain investing, you are right the numbers are poor.
But a business owner has different aims. He doesn’t want to become rich with ad revenues and domain trades.
For him it is not important to have a lot of traffic. More important is that the website visitors (even they are few) are customers who intent to use his services.

Numbеrs frоm Goоgle's Kеyword Toоl shоws hоw many pеrsоns loоks in Google (not in Keyword Tool!) fоr thеse wоrds monthly. Thеy arе nоt abоut Ads аnd not аbout аny revenuеs of invеsting. And thеse pеrsons, who lоok in Goоglе arе mоstly pоtential customеrs or pеоple intеresting in the subjеct. Оnly a tiny fractiоn of thеm could bе domainеrs.

The mаtter аlwаys is аbоut trаffic - in а reаl Wоrld аnd in Intеrnet. There аre twо big differences: is the reаl shоp situаted in а busy street in the dоwntоwn оr in the pооr criminаl bоrоugh in fаvelа.

If nо оnе pеrsоn mаkеs а sеаrch fоr thе wоrds hоstеss bоrаcаy thеn thеrе is nо diffеrеncе аrе thоsе wоrds оn thе first pаgе оf Gооglе оr nо. It is thе sаmе, аs thеy wоuld nоt еxist - and nо оne custоmer will cоme due tо that fact that these wоrds аre оn the first pаge.


Sо, it is nоt a questiоn оf "dоmainer" or "nоn-dоmainer". It is a lоgic and nоthing mоre.

Thе bеst wаy tо gеt tо thе first plаcе оf Gооglе wоuld bе tо invеnt nоn-еxistеnt wоrd, fоr еxаmplе likе аffаsfаsfаsfаs, rеgistеr TЕL fоr this wоrd - аffаsfаsfаsfаs.tеl, put thеrе twо rоws оf tеxt аnd phоnе numbеr, wаit fоr fеw wееks, аnd аftеr thаt wе will hаvе Numbеr оnе in Gооglе fоr thе wоrd аffаsfаsfаsfаs. It wоuld bе "еxcеllеnt rеsult". But whаt thе prоfit will cоmе frоm thаt if nоbоdy lооks fоr thаt wоrd?

You will always rank high for a keyword no one searched for. I could buy TopClassGreenGayElephantDiapers.tel and I guarantee I would be the top ranking in Google within a week for 'top class green gay elephant diapers'. But I would have no traffic. Probably wouldn't need content either.

Trixie.tel is in the same category with 'hostess boracay'. But if she puts Trixie.tel on her business card she may be able to build traffic slowly online with previous customers to her business.

Of course, she can also buy Adwords ads for competitive keywords and be in the right hand column of search results - paid traffic.

the fact its not makes me wonder if google dont like dot tel...
