Would be interesting to know if they automatically give every customer a .tel automatically especially to the many SMB's that do not have websites. What Yellow Pages and the like does here is provide a link to a website hosted at YP that is often just an image of a listing in the book. Scandalous what they charge. With your own .tel a business can have almost immediate SEO benefits when they start providing long tail subdomains for their area and specialty. Mark |

the advantages yellow pages have over a tel is brand awareness.... everyone has heard of yellow pages and its still often one of the first places people look (at least in the UK) when looking for a service. I think the partnership of yellow pages with tel is a match made in heaven and will definately help raise the tel awareness. |
