You guys are giving them away ! I can't believe how cheaply some of you are selling one-word .tels for ! I think one of the problems is that you are basing your sales approach on domainer buyers from this forum - the big money is to be made by approaching end-users, preferably directly and/or via massive marketplaces such as Sedo. I have set myself a challenge to get a 4-figure .tel sale by the end of June using this approach, though what I really want to do is to move the top selling .tel domain value up from the current value of $3,950 held by storage.tel - seehttp://www.dottel.net/historical-dot-tel-sales#sales The problem with selling .tels for big bucks is that there is a two-fold sales process to undertake - convince the buyer of your domain name's attractiveness and also educate them about the advantages of owning a .tel domain. It's a drag that this "education" step is necessary at all - but until Telnic / Telnames undertake the necessary worldwide marketing and promotion it will continue to be essential to do this ! I am going to focus on 1, 2 or 3 premium keyword .tel domains to get the $nnnn price I want - though http://FX.tel is staying firmly in my back pocket for the moment - I might choose recent buys such as http://Cues.tel & http://Surfboards.tel &http://Tshirts.tel - just have to do a bit of research first before I decide on the chosen domain(s). My thoughts are on transferring the chosen .tel domain(s) I want to promote to http://www.Telnames.com - it's going to be so much easier to persuade someone about .tel's value when they can easily add (via the CTH) background image, video, image gallery & offer. So for those who've purchased premium keyword .tel domains, why not join me in selecting 1/2/3 of your best domains and promote them to end-users to generate a $nnnn sale ? It's better than giving them away ! Mike Seaton |

I have some good .tel domains of 3 characters I may follow you, just tell us what its your plan to do so. Regards http://supercyberheroes.tel |
This is the link for the $5000 that was paid for pay.tel at sedo http://www.dotweekly.com/new-highest...oming-pay-tel/ Regards http://businessdirect.tel |
Right reading again he (andy) did not get pay by the bidder of pay.tel |

1. Transfer my chosen domain(s) to http://www.telnames.com 2. Use all the new features (user-inputtable via CTH) of the Telnames template - background photo, video, image gallery & offer. 3. Use as much of the contact info fields as I can, so the user can see how they could easily replace my contact details with theirs. 4. Promote the domain(s) via links from my own non-domain sites (in the same business category), sites owned by others, and my domain sales site http://www.Domains123.com 5. List the domain(s) on Sedo. 6. Contact end-users directly, if possible by phone. 7. Anything else I can think of ! Mike Seaton |

Yes, but you can get all this features from telmaster and the guys from sri lanka I believe telnames is expensive, but is good idea anyway. Regards http://supercyberheroes.tel |
wow, telnames want $23.76 aus, compared to name.com at $9.83 aus, dot.tels are a hard enough product to push and to want to renew, but 2 and half times the reg fee, kinda takes the fun outa this hobbie dont you think, that said, the owner of telnames wont be complaining though. |

Yes Telnames is very expensive at the moment ! I will be transferring the odd one or two to them, but for it to be attractive enough to transfer most of my portfolio (seehttp://www.domains123.com/names.asp?ext=.tel for .tels I have for sale, I also have others not currently listed for sale) they need to get their price down for bulk domain holders. It does not look like this is going to happen - so if I want to use Telnames to get the benefit of all the CTH-inputtable features (background image, image gallery, video, coupon) I have to be prepared to fork out $23.67 (£14.95 converted by xe.com) instead of about $10. I won't be paying over twice the going rate - so there is 1000+ .tel domains that could have gone to Telnames staying exactly where they are ! Mike Seaton |
