    Yes it is in deed a good suggestion and if I am not wrong, members here has discussed something similar on these lines earlier..

    It's on telnic's side to get something out in this regards so waiting on that:)

    Hi Jens,
    The idea has merit, however in Australia, individuals especially the younger ones typically don't bother with land lines for personal use, thus mobiles only, however this still leaves a large business base.

    Landline systems are moving to an IP base. As this happens, landline phones will become "intelligent" enough to be able to auto-lookup .tel domains. Someone has already played with Siemens' Gigaset and hooked it to .tel:
