Default records I am asking the community for options about default record support as a requested enhancement to the proxy. Default records are records that could automatically be rendered on all subdomains of a given domain. They would lessen the load on bulk updates (tools and CTH) without impacting performance. Defaults are needed primarily only for logo images, tel ad images and text ads. Any subdomain with a similar overriding record would not be affected, as the overriding record would be shown. At minimum a logo image should automatically propagate to all subdomains. BTW, the related topic is mobile image defaults. Any more opinions on that enhancement? Mark |
There is an upside of course, to inserting your own images. Google reading the url with the image name is an opportunity to name even the same image differently and changing the description (alt and title tags) of each image to include keywords is definitely an SEO bonus. Not sure what search engines would make of a 3,000 folders linking to the same image url. Can't imagine there would be any benefit except to the image hosting address. Thoughts anyone. |
