How do I add a Picture to a Posting?

I am having a bit of a problem with this, so maybe someone can help?

I have hosted a Banner which I saved as a Photo but when I added the URL of this photo to a posting, what I got was the posting with a 'click able link' to this photo.

Instead what I really want to do, is to have the Photo display straight away with my posting without the need to click on a link to display it.

Any ideas or recommendations for a hosting site that can do this.

Perhaps, you can use http://en.gravatar.com/site/signup/ for hosting your images. Then you will upload your picture to Gravatar, you need to copy URL of that picture there and then to click at this panel (Telnic's forum) to the yellow square "image" and to put that URL there.

    P.S.
I personally use webasyst .net because I like it more. But it can be more complicated when using it for the first time.

    Thanks Maximka

I will give that a try

Are you adding your URL of the photo/image via the little YELLOW icon in the tool bar of the reply window?

anyway, you still need to upload and host the image somewhere first (i use "me.com" but there are many free services). then do a preview first of your message, because i found that some links do not always work. they do not always render inline.. especially if the system you use is pointing to a gallery of some kind, rather than the EXACT file. eg. twitpic and shutterfly are useless

    https://files.me.com/boracay/xj8pad

the exact link for that graphic was "https://files.me.com/boracay/xj8pad"
so you dont always have to have the link to be a specific URL ending in a .jpg or .png file name, as in my example its just a reference used by the me.com system

    hmmm.
    way too hard. stupid systems[/size]

you dont need to signup with any sites.
just upload your image to imageshack.us
then copy the direct link and put it in this format
    HTML Code:

    Code:
    [IMG]http://www.imageurlhere.com/img.gif[/IMG]

    Hi Boracay

Many Thanks and yes I have used the yellow photo 'thingy' but the image hosting service I signed up to, gave you quite a lot of URL links to choose from and I obviously picked the wrong one, so when I attempted to do a preview it didn't work for me.

So I will try the site that you suggested.

    Hi dottel

Many thanks, the direct link is what I almost certainly wasn't using before.
