DELETED records still being found by telpages

How many days does it take to have *telpages* actually DELETE the REFERENCES TO subdomain records that are no longer existing?
(maybe i am not waiting long enough to see the references deleted, but deleted surely they MUST!!!)

edit: the heading should read "DELETED records still being REFERENCED (then shown) by telpages

Interesting question...

I tried to follow up to see how long it takes for google to delete subdomains but could not get anywhere. Anyone?

Aled, I appreciate that.
I will also update this thread after waiting a few more days.

thank you Aled

tel4rent - it depends completely on when Google reindexes your site. This will happen at least once a month. If you look at the cached version Google has of your site this can give you an idea of when the last major indexing occurred, although often it will also have crawled for updates since such a date.

Thanks Aled!

Let us know for Telpages...

Im re-visiting these important threads...

it appears as though 48hrs is a reasonably accurate observation for the "telpages" search system.
thankfully, the non-existent records ARE BEING deleted, and the references to them ARE following 48 hrs after.

moving right along...
note to directory builders:
fear not! go ahead. rename or adjust your subdomains without fear of destroying your once perfectly good "telpages" search results!
