Something you might want to look at. https://unstoppabledomains.com/ some are going for $10 and it's maybe something tel should have done for the payment section? maybe tel can partner with them so we can use our .tel domains to store and retrieve cryptocurrency addresses from the DNS. These are alternative root domains and integrate with currency wallets.

.zil is not a domain extension regulated by ICANN, with several disadvantages, e.g.:

• You will need a browser extension to view a .zil website.
  
• Search engines won't index .zil websites.
  
• There is no secondary market for .zil domains.
  

BTW about blockchain, perhaps more closer and interesting is the on going focus on the reckoned altcoin for mobile, so called TELcoin :

• use image gallery to basically promote and sell goods and services to be paid with TELCOINs as altcoins ?
  
• in case TELNAMES/TELNIC and NEUSTAR get their heads out the pillow and rebuild /re support the initial DNS features of ITO*, to newly offer DNS support and usecase for the mobile use ( . TEL = telephone) of ugly any mobile wallet address , today only propelled by QRcodes ...
  
• starting of course with TELcoin  (TEL = TELCOIN) ,while TELCO.in  targets mainly ...telecom operators for distribution of altcoin TELcoin for remittance cross border payments and the cash out in mobile money platforms ?
