The good news:
Telnic haven't stopped working completely.

This new, small changes show clearly that Telnic's customers won't get the quality from Telnames in the near future.

We have to accept the fact that Telnic won't introduce major improvements as long the future direction is not clear.

Secretly I was hoping Telnic will bring the service from Telnames to all customers.

In 2013 we'll reach a level lower than 200,000 registered .tels!
This is very important to know for planning future investments of time and money into .tel!

I disagree with the last two comments.
The 3 new developments have the ability to make your .tels much more interesting for visitors.
Although you can integrate pictures and videos only by third-party-tools, the current owners can arrange it easily since only technically savvy people own .tels.
People with less technical skill can always register their .tel at Telnames and get great results easily.
It's true Telnic is moving forward slowly, but as soon bigger companies will notice the possibilities of .tel which are not developed yet, .tel will see all the necessary developments.

What good is in Telnames services? Only its backgroud picture. It is the only and the last advantage of Telnames TELs. In addition, we couldn't see that background pictures on mobil phones. So, for mobil users Telnames TELs have no advantiges, only disadvatiges.

I personally do not want to have Telnames services. I want Telnic would develop TELs with subdomains further. For mass-customer it is very important to have possibility to upload images, ads and videos directly from telhosting panel.

Large pics as already provided by template 8, changing the link behavior, delivering the forgotten function from template 8 and correcting a little color mistake

Everything together would be an effort of a few hours only

Why we get a newsletter for that?

How many developers are working for Telnic? 1 person with a weekly working time of 2 hours?

Yay, and what?! no "holiday tree" outside their office with custom printed tel showcased baubles? what is the world coming to.... another missed marketing opportunity. jk'n

Why not finding mutual agreements about more important changes and start discussing them with the community for bringing success to .tel?

The community is not coherent. The death of pro.tel being constantly written about is not positive discussion. Small but significant changes to a live platform are possible, we just need to be very clear and unanimous in approaching telnic.

Sites like covarrubias.tel visually could be good if it would be without that unnecessary block ("Print this" and "Download vCard" and other buttons) in the right top corner. That block could be placed somewhere at the botton and be an optional choice.

To be honest if they cared they should have ran an advent calendar feature update, one feature released per day up unto Christmas day.

First this sounds sarcastic, but it's absolutely true! The announced changes can be accomplished in one work day! Telnic doesn't employ software developers. As the results show Telnic hire a programmer only occasionally for a few hours!

That is too harsh. I would rather say Telnic is just clueless what to do.
The new improvements are very good, but unfortunately far away from making .tel attractive.
I can't understand why .tel is still in beta after 4 years.

For me it is still a mystery:
- is Telnic just clueless and because of that no progress in TEL development happen,
- or does Telnic do it purposely.

If it is the first case, then my personal advice for Telnic would be: you have recorded all community suggestions about ways to improve design and functionality of TEL. So, make for yourself a task in every one-two weeks to do at least one TEL improvement from that list. It is a slow way but it leads to success.

If it is the second case, then we just need to wait.

I personally decided to drop all my TELs without which I could live, and reduced their number. So I freed myself from financial burden and now can look at all those games with a light heart.

Look at telnic launch look how bad dot tel looked...and worked

Anyone who brings something out like that are clueless that's why we were able to get some good names because it looked so 70s and the people behind it were not the sharpest knife in the kitchen.

Promoting .tel pages in adverts
We have also changed the way in which adverts pointing to other .tel pages are handled at the request of some members of the community who wish to promote sub-folders or other .tel domains within their directory services. Therefore, if a .tel domain owner specifies a .tel address within the image advert banners, instead of opening in a new window as is the case with any other extension, it will instead open within the same window, as a normal .tel link would.

Yes, I also think that it should be made from the very beginning. The possibilyti to do all functions from the panel is a necessary condition for making TEL popular, because TEL should be simple and easy in use for everyone, not only for "technical persons".

Well, in fact this not provided as a new feature in the TELcp System.
Any image ad (.tia) on top in desktop is recognized as a large image by this update provided by Telnic.

Earlier the desktop "Top" max image size was limited to 468px × 60px.
Now with this update, by Telnic, one may upload a larger image (larger than 468x60px) on desktop "Top" which will be displayed subject to a max size of 468x351px.

If you want to use TELcp, then follow:

• Login to telowners acct at TELcp.com
  
• Select your tel domain
  
• Select "Edit tel page"
  
• Select "Edit ImageAds"
  
• Select "Desktop Top" (Ad Psition)
