Hi guys, last week I bought a logo software, I just finished my logos, that will be same for all my .tel domains, I made one with templates and another one with graphic, but I still need to choice only 1 between these 2.
The software ask me which format I want to export it, I know PNG is for small size, my question is:
Does any one knows which format I should use for my .tel logos? - see bellow please
    1- PNG
    2- BMP
    3- JPEG
    4- TIFF
    5- GIF
    6- WDP

    I will appreciate yous answers

    Thanking you in advance

    Kind regards

Each format has its pros and cons. I tend to look at number of bytes, smaller obviously better for loading. Try to make logos fit without resizing so 78x78 although I thought there was another logo size.

Thank very much Mark, then I am going to use JPEG, with 78 on width and 78 on height 78x78.

What about the pixel it does not matter? Thanks

    Regards
Both logos is the same color of .tel logo to match it

PNG - if you need to place a picture without background, then you need first to make such picture with Photoshop (where you need to cut off that background) and then to save it in PNG. Look at my logo here, or here, for example.

JPG - if need to place as a logo a normal picture (with background) then use JPG. The example of such logo is here.

In both case, PNG and JPG, make its sizes 78x78 pixels. If you will do another sizes, for example, 78 X 100 pixels, then your picture will be distorted by Telhosting and real proportions will be lost.

jpeg for picture, png for real Sharp image like twitter logo gif for animated things
I should say png ! when someone click the image it shows up realy bright

I use gif for animated images or transitions, such as between image and text... works great and virtually multiplies your image potential and provides a bit of interest for the eye, although can become annoying if overdone.

There is also animated png, which is better, but as far as I know not supported yet by all browsers, so some may just show the first image of the series.

    Your logo is being scaled from 1,500px × 1,500px to 78px × 78px.
Always create logos of size 78x78 else you will have problems with appearance and speed.

Yes, it was 1500x1500 pix and I reduced it to 78x78 pix with original size (100%) the software is PRO, I can put my logo small like a stamp or big like huge building without lose quality, that what they say.

problem is quality is often relative to the filesize. for a logo on your tel, one goal should be to have the filesize small enough so it downloads and hence displays fast a possible without losing quality.

chosing the correct size prevents the browser having to resize so always a good step. I often save images used on the web as 'web quality' (a photoshop term) which effectively means it loses some quality to reduce the file size but is still good and clear enough for use on the web.

Use photoshop men you can get it everywere and thousands of tutorials on how to remove background
But your logo looks nice so no worry men
