Directories - we need this simple tool

i know there is telCP and some other tools....yep all good....BUT

A simpler tool is needed as follows...
1. A company listed in the directory comes across their listing for the first time...
2. They like the fact that the directory is comprehensive, up-to-date and mostly accurate...
They see their phone number correct, location correct, small photo/icon correct

3. .....as if nothing else matters... THEY WANT TO ADD THEIR FACEBOOK.!!!
(that is what I'm hearing. The feedback is can we add our Facebook!)

So, can somebody make a tool that does just that? It's simple enough.
ADD MY FACEBOOK HERE!

Ok, so there are some hurdles to overcome.
1. (they would use their Facebook id and password to add that SAME account to the .tel entry)
2. The .tel directory would need to match/attach ONLY 1 Facebook id to 1 .tel record.
3. And some other tamper proof stuff....?

Too simple to be true?
That's what we need.
ADD MY FACEBOOK HERE...

(i'm willing to pay for the creation of this one-trick pony tool)
PM me if interested.

I've started on a directory self entry tool, but will be away so won't be ready until end of August.

As for AUTOMATICALLY adding a Facebook ID (or Twitter, weblink etc) to an existing entry, that's dangerous without some kind of validation. One way would be to do an opt-in email, so a change request comes in via pre-formatted email, the owner of the domain clicks either a ACCEPT or REJECT/MORE INFO link. Accept passes the body of the email to the tool, the tool updates the domain. REJECT sends a message to the originator with a reason.

maybe here is where the validation or trust is confirmed.
use the Facebook login tool, that then sends us their Facebook identity, then your SOAP tool does the magic and ads to the .tel relevant sub-domain

See login

Looks good. Boyet, would you be able to write the PHP code snippet to initiate the authentication, then your redirected backend will call my script to do the insertion? I will give you a URL and parameters once you know you get control back from FB.

i've come across a few .tel self service solutions already out there.

here's more details on our two in house solutions for those that haven't seen them. both allow direct linking at the subdomain level. we haven't added the oauth code as to date all the tools have been for inhouse use only unless there's any interest from outside parties.

complex self service: http://adspackage.com
simple self service: http://adsonce.com

example links:

Ha! ...if I can duplicate myself, then i might surely have the time.
Seriously though....

"ADD MY FACEBOOK"
that is loud and clear.
simple enough.
nothing else.

lets see what we can come up with together!

Dottel, I am looking for something VERY specific. I am prepared to pay for it.
But it must do exactly this...."add my facebook"
thats it.

Looking at your page, I like as in "like" the concept of the icons in the top bar. The OSX10 style carrousel is an added effect, and its right there also that I am replacing the current "manage" .tel wording (cth link) with the facebook "like" buttons.

Let us know what you think?
can you offer some assistance to what Mark is suggesting?
cheers
